In October 2021, CCDC launched CCDC Document Webinars, an exciting new initiative aimed at providing information and guidance about the content and use of our standard construction documents. We have heard your questions and are ready to provide simple yet comprehensive answers! These author-led sessions are designed to explain the underlying principles behind CCDC documents and teach you their correct application and use. Documents are available for purchase from our document outlets. Please see our upcoming schedule below.

March: Project closeout

Project closeout is crucial as the final phase of construction before a project is handed over to the project owner. This webinar will explain the processes, CCDC’s contractual requirements, and the parties’ roles and responsibilities relating to project closeout. Attendees will learn:

  • How to meet the prerequisites to attain key project milestones, such as Substantial Performance of the Work, Ready-for-Takeover, and Partial Occupancy
  • Contractual requirements for closeout submittals, such as as-built and record drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, warranty documents, spare parts, maintenance, and special tools
  • Key considerations in demonstration and training for project owner’s personnel
  • The roles and responsibilities of the contractor, commissioning agency, consultant, and project owner for commissioning

Come learn the best practices in closing out a project from CCDC.
