In October 2021, CCDC launched CCDC Document Webinars, an exciting new initiative aimed at providing information and guidance about the content and use of our standard construction documents. We have heard your questions and are ready to provide simple yet comprehensive answers! These author-led sessions are designed to explain the underlying principles behind CCDC documents and teach you their correct application and use. June: Shop Drawings and Submittal Procedures

The construction process requires contractors to submit several different types of documentation to the project owner and consultant.

Learn from the CCDC authors about:

• Submission, review and return of shop drawings and other submittals.
• Design delegation vs. design assist, as they relate to the shop drawings.
• Each party’s obligations and the detailed administrative and procedural requirements.
• Other action submittals required to confirm compliance with the contract documents, like samples.
• Documentation required prior to the start of construction and the first application for payment, like insurance certificates and construction progress schedules.
• Why the submittal process should not be used for substitutions and changes.
