A guide document addressing the practices involved in the administration of a construction contract. This guide is intended primarily for the contract administrator (e.g. the Consultant), but is also a helpful resource for other parties directly or indirectly involved in or affected by the administration of construction contracts.

CCDC 24 – 2022 A Guide to Model Forms and Support Documents

What is the document?

CCDC 24 – 2022 is a guide document to assist users of CCDC 2 – 2020 in meeting the administrative requirements outlined in that standard contract form.

For each model form the guide contains a brief explanation of each of the administrative processes involved, a short narrative description to guide users of the form, a list of items which should be included in the form, and an example of a model form.

Master Specification for Division 01 – 2020 General Requirements

CCDC Division 01 provides a series of editable specification templates covering the project specific requirements. This document was developed based on the CCDC 2 ‘Stipulated Price Contract’, but with proper editing it can easily be used with other contracts .

Spec notes are provided to explain the intended use of each section, assist the editing process, and indicate when coordination is required. Microsoft Word format is available to provide maximum editing flexibility.

CCDC 10 – 2018 A Guide to Construction Project Delivery Methods

What is the document?
The choice of a delivery method is a crucial and strategic decision that should consider the needs of the owner, their organizational resources, and the needs of the project.

CCDC 10 identifies the issues that should be considered when selecting a project delivery method. It examines the characteristics and critical conditions for the following common project delivery methods:

  • Design – bid – build
  • Design – build
  • Construction management for services
  • Construction management for services and construction
  • Integrated project delivery

CCDC 10 also includes a chart showing how different project delivery methods can affect the following common project issues if all critical conditions are met:

  • Scope definition;
  • Performance requirements;
  • Schedule requirements;
  • Costs;
  • Allocation of human resources
  • and construction expertise;
  • Collaboration and communications

CCDC 29 – 2016 Guide to Pre-Qualification

What is the document?

CCDC 29 is developed for Procurement Authority (e.g. Owners, Consultants, Construction Managers, Design-Builders) to explain and recommend best practices through the entire pre-qualification process.

There will be discussions on how to determine whether pre-qualification is necessary and appropriate during the procurement planning,  comparison of various types of pre-qualifications (unlimited, short-listing, source-list), best practices for Request for Qualifications (checklist, submissions, evaluation and interviews, notification and debriefing).

There will also be an explanation of the revised CCDC 11 ‘Contractor’s Qualification Statement’ and its correct use.
